We usually try to determine if one of our discount surplus small engines will work for your application. The best way we know to determine the compatability of Kohler engines is described below:

If you go to the following Kohler website
http://www.kohlerplus.com/main_frame.asp  and to the right of where is asks you to log in is a link to enter as a guest. Then towards the top right is a search box. Enter your model number and to the left is a drop down you need to change to "Specification" and then click go. On the next page, find your engine model and click on it. Now at the top right you will find two links. One says "compare" and the second one is "Find Similiar".  You can use "compare" if you have both model numbers or you can use the "Find Similiar" to find the model number that is the closest match to your Kohler Small engine.
